The Belgian Competition Authority adopts new leniency guidelines

On 22 May 2020, new Leniency Guidelines (the “2020 Guidelines”) adopted by the Belgian Competition Authority (the “BCA”) were published in the Belgian Official Journal. The 2020 Guidelines replace the 2016 Leniency Guidelines and lay down the conditions to obtain total or partial immunity from fines for undertakings (or associations of undertakings) as well as immunity from prosecution for natural persons involved in a cartel.
