India: CCI approves combination of Bharti Airtel and Telenor* The CCI vide its order dated 30 May, 2017 has approved the amalgamation of Telenor India along with its assets, liabilities, interests and obligations with Airtel through a court driven scheme of merger. Airtel, a part of the Bharti Enterprises Group is a publicly traded global telecommunications corporation with operations in 17 countries across Asia and Africa.
