The Autorité de la concurrence issues an unfavourable opinion on the draft decree establishing a code of ethics for nurses.* In brief Following a referral from the French Ministry of Health, the Autorité de la concurrence has issued major reservations regarding several provisions in the draft code of ethics for nurses, drawn up by the National Order of Nurses (Ordre national des infirmiers). The draft code of ethics frequently endorses the most restrictive provisions of the codes of ethics of other healthcare professions. In many cases these are provisions that the Autorité de la concurrence (or the Conseil before it) had already flagged in previous opinions.
