On 30 May 2013, the European Court of Justice (“ECJ”) handed down its judgment dismissing an appeal brought by three companies within the Quinn Group (Quinn Plastics GmbH, Quinn Plastics NV and Quinn Barlo) against an earlier General Court (“GC”) judgment which had reduced the fine imposed by the Commission on them for their participation in a cartel on the market for polymethyl-methacrylates (“PMMA”, also known as acrylic glass).
