The EU General Court dismisses appeals in sodium chlorate cartel case (Elf Aquitaine)

On 17 May 2011, the General Court (“GC”) handed down two judgments on appeals brought by Elf Aquitaine (“Elf”) and its former subsidiary Arkema against the Commission’s 2008 decision jointly fining the two companies a total of € 59 million for participation in the sodium chlorate cartel.
