A German Court rejects complaint from an association of hearing aid acousticians on a inspection of the German Competition Authority (AOK)

On 4 May 2011, the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf rejected the complaint of an association of hearing aid acousticians that claimed that the German Cartel Office (FCO) did not have the right, during an inspection at the association’s premises, to request the inspection of documents in relation to the supply of hearing aids and the contract relationships with health insurers. The FCO had based its order concerning the inspection carried out at the premises of the association on the suspicion that the association had restricted competition on the sales market for hearing aids by deciding to offer
