The operation On 20 December 2006 the Bundeskartellamt was notified of the proposed acquisition by Klinikum Region Hannover GmbH (“KRH”) of Niedersächsische Lankdeskrankenhaus Wunstorf (“NLKH Wunstorf”) from the State of Lower Saxony. KRH is a 100% subsidiary of Region Hannover, a municipality. KRH operates thirteen clinics in the Hannover area, one of which, Klinik Langenhangen (“KL”) is active in psychiatric services. NLKH Wunstorf is a hospital for psychiatric and psychotherapeutic services. It is one of eight hospitals that the State of Lower Saxony offered for sale in 2006.
