The Dutch Competition Authority approves under strict conditions an acquisition of a retail service organization by its competitor (Intres / Euretco Holding)

On the 27 of June 2012, the Dutch Competition Authority approved under strict conditions the acquisition of Intres B.V. by Euretco Holding B.V.. I. The Parties – The Dutch undertaking Euretco Holding B.V., which is part of Avedon Capital Partners – The Dutch undertaking Intres B.V. II. Facts The decision of the Dutch Competition Authority (‘DCA’) relates to the procedure of the required approval of a proposed concentration under article 34 of the Dutch Competition Act of 22 May 1997. On 8 December 2011, the DCA received the notification of the proposed concentration by which Euretco notified its intention to acquire the entire share capital of Intres.
