Introduction The Council of the Slovak Competition Authority ("SCA") confirmed the first instance decision imposing a fine on ZSE Distribucia, a.s., Bratislava ("ZSE") for abuse of dominant position. The abuse of dominant position consisted in the charging of unreasonably high fees for unscheduled electrometer readings between 2008 and 2010. The fee was charged to a new electricity supplier in case the consumer wanted to change the electricity supplier. The fee related to the determination of electricity consumption as of a certain date outside of the period for regular electricity reading.
