Both companies are active in the electricity and gas sectors. The Commission’s decision is conditional upon RWE‘s commitment to divest Essent‘s controlling shareholding in Stadtwerke Bremen AG (swb). RWE agreed to this divestment to remedy competition concerns the Commission
