Inova Health System Foundation (Inova) and Prince William Health System, Inc. (PWHS) announced today that they will abandon their proposed merger. This announcement comes after the Federal Trade Commission sought to preliminarily enjoin the merger so that it could conduct a “Fast Track” administrative hearing, which was scheduled to start on October 6, 2008.
