The Luxembourg Competition Authority announces a reform in its annual 2006 report

In its 2006 annual report, recently published on the website [1], the Luxembourg Competition Council (“Council”) announces a reform of the legislative framework, entered into force on 30 May 2004 and applied by the two authorities (being the Council and the Competition Inspectorate) since November 2004. It is noteworthy to recall that competition was subject to little and rather inefficient regulation in Luxembourg in the last 50 years, before the entering into force on 30 May 2004 of the law of 17 May 2004 on competition (“the Law on competition”).
