The Cypriot Competition Authority finds the Cyprus dairy organisation guilty of abusing its dominant position because of price discriminating among its customers and grants the applicant interim measures

An Overview On June 19, 2007 the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition (hereinafter: the “Commission”) condemned the Cyprus Dairy Organisation (hereinafter: the “CDO”) of having abused its dominant position in the market of production and supply of fresh milk in the form of price discriminating among its customers. The applicant was granted interim measures such that CDO has to supply to it the quantity of fresh milk established under their previous contract. The facts CDO is a Cypriot Limited Liability Company, having as shareholders all the producers of fresh milk and all the stockmen in Cyprus.
