The French Anti-corruption Agency issues its first decision and finds no violations of the requirements of article 17 of the Sapin II Law (S et Mme C)

The Sanctions Committee of the French Anti-Corruption Agency ('AFA') issued its first decision on 4 July 2019. The Committee found that none of the violations of the requirements of article 17 of the Sapin II Law (loi n° 2016-1691 du 9 décembre 2016 relative à la transparence, à la lutte contre la corruption et à la modernisation de la vie économique) are demonstrated by the AFA and therefore did not find any valuable grounds to impose any pecuniary sanction or injunction on SAS S. (https://www.agence-francaise-anticorruption.gouv.fr/files/2019-07/CP%20Commission%20des%20sanctions.pdf) Sapin II Law provides that large companies (with 500 employees or more and a turnover of 100 million € or more) have to implement anticorruption compliance programs and entrusts the AFA to publish guidelines
