The Turkish Competition Board investigates electricity suppliers and distributors (Akdeniz EDAS / CLK / Ak Den)

The Competition Board (“Board”) in its decision dated 19.07.2016 and numbered 116-24/407-M (“Investigation”) [1] has decided to open an investigation against electricity supplier and distributor companies, Akdeniz Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., CLK Akdeniz Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş. and Ak Den Enerji Dağıtım ve Perakende Satış Hizmetleri A.Ş. In its Investigation, the Board will assess whether the relevant companies have abused their dominant positions pursuant to Art. 6 of the Act on the Protection of Competition dated 07.12.1994 and numbered 4054 (“Competition Act”), by acting contrary to the unbundling provisions, and applying discriminatory practices. Investigated Undertakings Akdeniz Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (“Akdeniz EDAS”) is an undertaking operating in the electricity distribution retail market. CLK
