The Lithuanian Competition Authority carries an investigation on film exhibitors (Forum Cinemas)

On 15 July 2015, the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania (hereafter – NCA) decided to carry out an additional investigation in the film distribution and exhibition market [1]. During the initial investigation NCA received information which approved the suspicions that three major film exhibitors agreed on issues (price fixing and other) which are prohibited by the competition law. Facts The NCA started its investigation on 29 May 2012, after receiving alarming information from Multikino Lietuva (lt. UAB “Multikino Lietuva”) and Cinamon Operations (lt. UAB “Cinamon Operations”). The received data revealed the participation of both undertakings in the agreements prohibited by the competition law. Article 5
