Hong Kong’s Competition Authorities publish the final guidelines on how they propose to interpret, apply, investigate and enforce the new Competition Ordinance

Following the announcement that the Competition Ordinance (Cap 619) (Ordinance) will come into effect on 14 December 2015, the Competition Commission (Commission) and Communications Authority (collectively, the Competition Authorities) released the final guidelines to accompany the Ordinance (Final Guidelines) on 27 July 2015. These non-binding guidelines provide insight into how the Competition Authorities will interpret the Ordinance. The Final Guidelines include some revisions and clarifications to the revised draft guidelines which were released in March 2015 (Revised Draft Guidelines).
