A Kazakh specialised economic court doesn’t find documental evidence of an anticompetitive concerted practice in the banking services market (Nurbank / Alliance Bank / Kazpost)

Facts Based on the Orders of the Antimonopoly Agency dated 26.08.2013 №68-ОД and 04.09.2013 №46-ОД, an investigation was conducted against JSC “Nurbank”, JSC “Alliance Bank” and JSC “Kazpost”, according to the results of which it awarded a decision dated 23.12.2013, as it is seen from the content of the judgment, in the actions of market participants AB JSC “Nurbank”, AB JSC “Alliance Bank” and ARB JSC “Kazpost” there are facts of coordinated actions, aimed at restriction of competition and infringement of legitimate consumers’ rights, concerning establishment and (or) maintenance of prices, specifically raising tariff rates for processing of the receipts for provision of publiс utility services to population, within the period from 01.09.2012 until 13.11.2012.
