The French Competition Authority launches a market test following a leading internet corporation commitments (Google)

On 21 July 2010, the French Competition Authority published commitments offered by Google in an effort to resolve competition concerns identified by the Competition Authority in a decision of 30 June 2010. The 30 June decision granted interim measures to Navx, a company which sells online databases for GPS navigation devices, related to discriminatory practices engaged in by Google in connection with its AdWords service. Navx‘s databases provide customers with, among other things, the location of roadway speed cameras. Navx mainly advertises its databases through Google‘s AdWords
