Football is an important matter in Spain. Such importance is currently being illustrated by the mediatic and legal warfare between two media groups, Sogecable and Mediapro, which are fighting over the football league's broadcasting rights. Each weekend, since the professional league season started back in late August, supporters must look up in the press when and on which channel they can watch their favourite teams' matches. In fact, nobody has been able to assure, so far in this season, which matches are actually going to be broadcasted. There are millions of Euros at stake for Sogecable, Mediapro, and the football clubs, with the price of Sogecable's shares free-falling in the Madrid stock exchange.
