In a decision of 24 January 2020, the Competition College of the Belgian Competition Authority imposed an interim measure on the Belgian Bumper Pool Association (Belgian Golf Billiards League, BGB) concerning the balls that may be played with in competitions and matches organised by the BGB or its affiliated associations and clubs. The decision follows a request for interim measures filed by Hector Cue Sports Belgium (HCSB), a manufacturer and distributor of (bumper) pool balls headquartered in Belgium. Background Bumper pool is a billiards game in which players must shoot around cushioned obstacles affixed to the surface of the table, called bumpers, for banking them into the pocket.
