Inflation has become a major source of concern in Argentina in recent years. During 2013, it has reached 25% or more, according to private sources. The Government, however, has systematically denied this fact, and has, inter alia, intervened the agency in charge of measuring inflation –the Indec—and manipulated the official inflation index, which dramatically underestimates the real inflation rate.
