The Italian Antitrust Authority (hereinafter, also “IAA”) has recently fined two undertakings active in the sector of harbour operating services for having infringed Article 81 of the Treaty of Rome. Parties of the investigation The proceeding started after a report sent to the Authority by Costa Container Lines s.p.a. (hereinafter, also “CCL”), a company operating in the maritime transport of cargo containers. Parties under investigation, then, were two undertakings, Terminal Darsena Toscana s.r.l. (hereinafter, also “TDT”) and Servizi Integrati Marittimi - Sintermar s.p.a. (hereinafter, also “Sintermar”).
