Introduction In November 2006, Mahou-San Miguel (GMSM), a Spanish brewing company, notified the Spanish first-tier competition authority (Servicio de Defensa de la Competencia, SDC) the acquisition of control over Alhambra, a local brewer operating mainly in the Andalusia region.
