"The Commission opens investigation procedure regarding aid to Polish car producer FSO (ex DAEWOO)"* On 19 January 2005 the Commission decided to launch a formal investigation into the compatibility with EC Treaty State aid rules of a series of State measures for the restructuring of the Polish car producer Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych S.A. (FSO, ex DAEWOO) [1]. Background context The case was notified under the so-called interim mechanism pursuant to Annex IV.3 of the Accession Treaty.
