The Indian Competition Authority finds that the acquisition of two power suppliers by an energy conglomerate has no appreciable adverse effect on competition (THDC / NEEPCO / NTPC)
NTPC is a public company incorporated in India under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India (“GoI”). NTPC is an energy conglomerate primarily engaged in electric power generation through coal-based thermal power plants, generation of electricity from hydro and renewable energy sources, as well as the business of providing consultancy services in engineering, operation and maintenance management, project management, contracts and procurement management, quality management, training and development, solarand renewable power projects etc.
