Competition Authority publishes 2013 Annual Report*
The Competition Authority has today published its Annual Report for 2013. The Authority is the State body responsible for enforcing Irish and European competition law in Ireland. The report summarises the work done by the Authority in 2013. It also lists a number of Authority recommendations that have already been implemented in order to increase competition in markets and help Ireland’s economic recovery.
Highlights of the report: The Authority received 195 complaints in 2013. These included 34 new complaints of alleged criminal cartel behaviour and 92 new complaints of anti-competitive
