The European Commission has sounded a warning to parties notifying merger transactions, emphasising the fundamental importance of accurate market share data. On 25 February 2014, the European Commission announced that it had sent a statement of objections to two Finnish producers of specialty papers, Munksjö Oyj and Munksjö AB, and the Swedish producer Ahlstrom Corporation.
