The operation The operation involved the acquisition of Ascensores Gasteiz by the Orona group, by purchasing 100% of the equity of Ascensores Gasteiz. The Orona group comprised thirteen companies with activities in the production, sales, installation, maintenance and repairing of elevators in most of the Spanish provinces. The Orona group also marketed escalators. Ascensores Gasteiz sold elevators and provided installation, maintenance and repairing services for elevators. Ascensores Gasteiz did not produce elevators and only operated in the Álava province (Basque Country). The decision of the Spanish competition authority - the Tribunal de Defensa de la Competencia (TDC) was made in Phase II.
