The Turkish Competition Board confirms fine on only one cartel member for price fixing in the ready mixed concrete market (Lafarge)

The Turkish Competition Board (TCB) has confirmed the fine it had levied on a single member of a cartel in the ready mixed concrete market in the Marmara region in a recent decision. The original decision which seems to have caused controversy within the TCB - the dissenting opinions of the Board members reach the length of the decision - had found a cartel between three undertakings to fix prices of ready mixed concrete in the geographical region including Istanbul [1].
