The Spanish Competition Authorities have recently considered that the license granted by Procter & Gamble to Arbora & Ausonia to use the “Tampax” brands for the distribution of “Tampax” products in Spain and Portugal constitutes an operation of concentration within the meaning of article 14 of the Spanish Competition Act. According to the Spanish Competition Authorities, this licence will result in the acquisition by Arbora & Ausonia of control over the “Tampax” distribution business of Procter & Gamble in those countries.
