The Danish Parliament approves an amendment enabling antitrust class action

On 22 February 2007, the Danish Parliament approved an amendment to the Danish rules on civil procedure which enables class action law suits to be brought. Such class actions may also be initiated on the basis of injury suffered as a result of alleged infringements of the Danish or EU competition rules. The new rules on class action will enter into force on 1 January 2008.
