The Belgian Competition Authority issues an opinion on the market for access and call origination on public mobile telephone networks (BIPT / IBPT)

Draft decision BIPT/IBPT On 26 January 2007 the Competition Council received from the BIPT/IBPT (Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications) a draft decision on market 15: access and call origination on public mobile telephone networks in order to receive advice within 30 calendar days (as part of the cooperation duty of the two institutions). In the draft decision the BIPT/IBPT concludes that the market for access and call origination on public mobile telephone networks is effectively competitive. Consequently the NRA does not find operators having significant market power, nor does it propose ex ante obligations.
