The Lithuanian Competition Authority fines two construction companies for joint bidding in 24 tenders (PST / Irdaiva)

On 20 December 2017, the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania issued a decision [1] finding that two construction companies: UAB IRDAIVA and AB PST breached the Lithuanian Law on Competition by entering into anti-competitive joint bidding agreement. UAB IRDAIVA was imposed a fine of EUR 3.6 million and AB PST fine reached EUR 8.5 million. During its investigation, the Lithuanian Competition Council established that UAB IRDAIVA and AB PST presented joint bids in 24 public tenders for apartment building reconstruction works organized by one of the Vilnius municipality companies’.
