The Polish Competition Authority gives conditional consent to a merger of undertakings operating on the market for wholesale and retail sale of alcoholic beverages (Eurocash / Polska Dystrybucja Alkoholi)

In its decision of December 2016, the Polish Competition Authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów, the “OCCP President” or the “Authority”) has given his conditional consent for Eurocash to take control over Polska Dystrybucja Alkoholi (hereinafter the “PDA”). Both undertakings operate on the market for wholesale and retail sale of everyday consumer goods, including alcoholic beverages. Eurocash is a company listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange focused on wholesale of FMCG (fast-moving, consumer goods), including alcoholic beverages, through the so-called non-specialized warehouses.
