The Czech Supreme Administrative Court is not ready to accept a symbolic fine against an association of undertakings involved in a price fixing case (Association of Applied Graphics and Design)

On 20 December 2012, the Supreme Administrative Court cancelled the judgment of Regional Court in Brno in the case regarding Association of Applied Graphics and Design (the “Association”) and remanded the case back to it. The Regional Court in Brno previously mitigated the fine imposed by the Office for Protection of Competition (“Office”) of the Association for a price setting manual applied towards the Association members so that it reached a symbolic level of CZK 1.000,- (approx.
