The Croatian Competition Authority holds illegal minimum price fixing agreement among residential management service providers (Eki Inginjering)

In December 2008 the Croatian Competition Authority (AZTN) [1] received a complaint submitted by the consumer protection organization “Istrian Consumer” [2]. The complainant alleged that four providers of residential management services in the city of Pula (Eki Inžinjering d.o.o., Uljanik Upravljanje Stambeno-Poslovnim Zgradama d.o.o., Stambeni Inženjering d.o.o., and Kany d.o.o.) have raised and fixed the prices for their services. The AZTN also received a copy of the decision issued by the union of residential management service providers dated 15 May 2008 (hereinafter: May Decision), which provided for common price increase of 20% and fixed the minimum service fee at HRK 0.40/m² or HRK 24 per flat.
