The Croatian Competition Authority amends the remedies for a conditionally approved supermarkets merger (Konzum / Lokica)

On 30 December 2009 the Croatian Competition Authority (AZTN) issued a conditional clearance to an acquisition by Konzum of a number of supermarkets belonged to Lokica, two wholesale and retail distributors with dominant market positions on the wholesale distribution market in Croatia and retail distribution market in Sibenik-Knin county . The AZTN imposed structural and behavioral remedies in order to assure that third party suppliers will not be foreclosed from the merged entity's retail locations on the relevant geographic market.
