Germany: Coffee Roasters fined for Price Fixing In a decision of 18 December 2009, the Bundeskartellamt imposed fines totalling approximately € 159,500,000 on three coffee roasters and the six responsible employees. The companies involved are Tchibo GmbH, Melitta Kaffee GmbH and Alois Dallmayr Kaffee oHG. A leniency application had sparked off the investigation and led to dawn raids at the premises of all three companies on 3 July 2008. The information gathered
