The English Court of Appeal rules on relationship between UK cartel offence and EU competition law

In a judgment handed down on 9 December 2009, the Court of Appeal has ruled on the relationship between the cartel offence under UK law and the EU competition rules. Since the entry into force of the Enterprise Act, it has been a criminal offence in the UK for individuals to enter into cartel agreements that relate to supply in the UK.
