In this contribution we provide a summary of the decision issued on 22 December 2005 by the Slovak Anti-monopoly Office (“Office”) whereby the Office held that several provisions of the Rules of professional conduct for Attorneys (“Rules”) issued by the Slovak Bar Association breached Slovak and EU competition rules (Article 81 of the EC Treaty). The Rules were issued on 19 June 2004 by the Slovak Bar Association pursuant to the Slovak Act on Advocacy and are binding upon
