On 21 December 2004 the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic issued a decision whereby it affirmed the earlier decision of the Office for the Protection of Competition, in which the Office had found that Eurotel, a Czech mobile operator, had abused its dominant position on the mobile telephony market by billing its customers a higher rate for calls to the network of a new mobile operator, Èeský Mobil, than for calls to the network of the then incumbent, RadioMobil; for these practices, the Office imposed on Eurotel a fine of CZK 48 million (about €1.5 million).
