The Moldovan Competition Authority releases its 2009 annual report

In August 2010 the Moldovan Competition Authority (ANPC) [1] released its 2009 Annual Report, where it summarized its enforcement activities carried out in 2009 and outlined priorities for 2010. In 2009 the ANPC initiated 51 investigations and issued 89 decisions and 34 prescriptions. Within the total number of decisions only 5 concerned the finding of an abuse of dominant position. Among the reported cases stands the ANPC's finding that public operator of bus terminals in the municipality of Chisinau has abused its dominance on the market for bus ticketing by imposing a 4% surcharge on all tickets issued on international routes [2].
