The President of the EU General Court lifts obligation to provide a bank guarantee (Westfälische Drahtindustrie/Papus Industrie Beteiligungen)

On 13 April 2011, the President of the General Court (“GC”) suspended the execution of the fining decision of the European Commission against Westfälische Drahtindustrie GmbH, Westfälische Drahtindustrie Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH&Co. KG (“WDV”) and Papus Industrie Beteiligungen GmbH&Co. KG (together the “applicants”) without requesting a bank guarantee. Instead, the applicants will need to transfer monthly payments to the Commission.
