The German Competition Authority clears the establishment of a joint venture in the software sector (CPTN / Novell)

On 20 April 2011, the German Competition Authority (“Bundeskartellamt”) cleared the establishment of a joint venture by Apple, EMC, Microsoft and Oracle, CPTN, the purpose of which is to acquire hundreds of software patents from Novell.
