The Dutch competition authority seeks views on draft revised remedies guidelines

The NMa has launched a public consultation on its draft revised guidelines for remedies [1]. The draft guidelines anticipate the upcoming amendment of the Dutch Competition Act (“DCA”). In addition, the revision is used to update the current (2002) guidelines with the experience gained in remedies by the NMa, the European Commission and other competition authorities. Interested parties had until 15 May 2007 to submit their views. The bill to amend the DCA is currently pending at the First Chamber of Parliament. A number of the amendments proposed in the bill intend to bring the DCA more in line with the European Merger Regulation.
