On 20 April 1995 the Commission adopted a regulation granting block exemption to liner shipping consortia [Commission Regulation (EC) No 870/95 of 20 April 1995 on the application of Article 85(3) of the Treaty to certain categories of agreements, decisions and concerted practices between liner shipping companies (consortia) pursuant to Council regulation (EEC) No 479/92, OJ L 89/7 of 21 April 1995]. This is the second block exemption which is adopted in the liner shipping sector.
