On 11 November 2003, the Estonian Competition Authority (ECA) cleared the acquisition of control by AS A.Le Coq (A.Le Coq) over OÜ Finelin (Finelin). As the merging parties had significant overlapping business activities on the Estonian soft drinks, bottled water, long drink and cider markets, the ECA had carried out in-depth (phase 2) proceedings in the matter. The ECA identified first that the merger concerned the following products: soft drinks, bottled water, long drinks, cider, beer, juice and juice drinks. The merging parties had horizontally overlapping activities on the markets for soft drinks, bottled water, long drinks and cider.
