Dr Valerio Torti is an Italian attorney and PhD graduate from the University of Southampton (UK). His research explores the interaction between competition law and intellectual property rights (patents) in the field of standard setting. During his academic career, he spent periods of research in the United States, visiting Fordham University NY and the University of Wisconsin. He has later been Post-doctoral Fellow at the National University of Singapore, Centre for Law and Business. Prior to that experience, Valerio also worked at the University of Southampton (UK) as part-time lecturer, and held internship positions at the European Commission and the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Currently, he is based in Rome, where he collaborates with LUISS University and the European University of Rome.
