Undine von Diemar’s practice focuses on technology transactions, in particular cloud computing and IT outsourcing, and on data protection matters, including international data transfers, data breaches, internal investigations, e-discovery, and global compliance projects. She also regularly advises on IT and data protection legal issues in M&A transactions and represents clients in litigation proceedings, particularly unfair competition disputes that have a technical background, and in disputes concerning failed IT projects. Representative matters include advising: salesforce.com in numerous customer negotiations and data protection law matters; the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) on EU data protection issues; and Cray, the Supercomputer Company, in IT procurement proceedings and data protection law matters. Undine coordinates Jones Day’s European Privacy & Cybersecurity practice, which consists of a team of dedicated privacy lawyers across Jones Day’s European offices.
